Called to write

I have started and stopped a few blogs over the years, none that lasted for more than six months at a time. The overall themes varied from pursuing creative endeavors, to a free-spirited lifestyle blog titled, Bohemian West.

I’ve also forever had a nagging feeling to write a book, but never landed on one topic that would be interesting enough for my readers and something I was much of an authority on to fill 250 pages. Somewhere I have a couple chapters written on the ups and downs of my relationships, dating escapades in my thirties and so on.

But alas, I was confused on what to do, who to become and how all the things I loved would fit together to form my life’s purpose.

Clearly, writing has always been a love of mine. English was one of the only school subjects I really enjoyed, outside of photography. Being an average student, it was nice to have something I knew I was good at like creative writing.

I enjoyed writing book reports and later newspaper and magazine articles in college. I took writing classes for fun and ultimately got a degree in Journalism from San Francisco State University. Landing an internship and getting published in California Home and Design magazine was an exciting highlight after graduation. I honestly thought I’d keep writing one way or another but in the last 10 plus years, the only writing I’ve been doing are emails for work.

That is until recently…When I dove into my passion for health and wellness, became a certified holistic health coach and began creating content for my website and Instagram posts. Suddenly, I’m researching, reading, writing and designing again. Its been fun playing graphic designer on the Canva app, and building something I believe in. Writing posts and captions really got my creative juices flowing and my life path energy lit up.

So to wrap this up, I’m feeling called to “really” write again. It feels more in alignment with my growing coaching practice. I can share what I feel called too and can expand upon the holistic wellness topics I post about on IG in more detail.

Feel free to leave a comment on any health and wellness topics you’d like me to cover… and we’ll see where this leads.
